I downloaded FastReport this weekend and within an hour I had my first reports "translated" from Rave Reports. Intuitive and easy to figure out how to do stuff, even though it's done in a different manner than I'm used to. Great. We considered going from Rave to Crystal, but Crystal doesn't have that tight integration to Delphi RAD Studio that we are using, so the choice were simple.

Why I selected it? because it has a great designer, it is easy of use, it is quite versitile and the manuals are clear and well written. I don't have to be looking for hours for answers on how to do this or that on the Internet... everything is on the manual... One of the best reporter tools I have ever seen. I love it... After been evaluating reporting tools to meet the requirements of the new Mexican Electronic Invoice, Fast Report for Delphi was the best tool to support this Mexican law requirement, beside the quality of the tool, the price it's also very attractive.

The Fast Report for Delphi, it seems very friendly, and can export to formats as important as Excel and PDF, among others, and I know just what! Bring good manuals. It's the best I've seen.

As a long time (13+ years) Crystal Reports user I can recomend FastReports strongly, I am in the process of converting 1000+ reports designed on Crystal to FastReports, It is fast, rock solid and a feature rich product, integrating very well with Delphi and other products from Embarcadero. As a DELPHI user, I was quite satisfied with QuickReport. When DELPHI switched the report component to Rave, I found I did not like Rave at all. I tested FastReport and I was very comfortable with the software. I was also impressed that the price is much lower than Quick. I sent a message to my Delphi mailing list and recommended FastReport to those who are not comfortable with Rave.
