Given that the last posting in this forum was three and a half years ago, I'm wondering if anyone actually uses OQB, and whether any ongoing development is happening for this product.
Having said that, if anyone reads this, can they tell me whether OQB supports Full Text Searches? For example, in Advantage DB, it's possible to build Full Text indices on any text fields, and then search on those fields using search phrases that include operators like "or" and "near". (This is not the same thing as a SQL 'like' condition.) Full Text as includes ignoring unimportant joining words like "the" and "of". It also includes the ability to do the search on ALL text fields included in the query, without having to repeat the same search for each field (again unlike the 'like' comparator).
What I need is something like OQB that provides a way of specifying Full Text Search phrases, both for individual fields and across all queried fields. Can I do that with OQB out of the box? If not, how hard is it to customize OQB to add extra functionality like this?
I appreciate all the help I can get about this.
Thanks in advance,
Earl
