Hi, i used fr 3 basic, i use a lot of field's OnGetText event, so the field's display text will show a custom value.
Now i know that on the master band, the field display text can be shown when i use the drop down field selector, now how can i use the display text on a place other than the masterband, like on the header or group band or event on the master band it self, but in condition where i can't use the drop down field selector, because the memo consist of more than one field.

I wish there is a function that work like the FormatDateTime or etc.

this may be a limitation of basic version, if it is i would suggest that this is a good time to upgrade to version 4 at least standard level christmas special discounts.
other than that read the user manual chapter on inline formatting.

I've read the user manual and found the one you mention, but it is not what i want.
What you refering is to format number/date field from the report. I know that already and use the same method as the help says.
But as you know that TField has a DisplayText property to show a text that has been formated using OnGetText event. Now if the memo object on the master data band, and use the drop down selector, it will show the display text correctly, now how can i do that on other band or on a memo object with more than one field
